- Seams should overlap a minimum of 12 inches.
- The vapor barrier should lap up onto the foundation side walls.
- Seams and protrusions should be sealed with a pressure sensitive tape.
- The vapor barrier should be caulked and attached tightly to the foundation side walls. For example, with furring strips and masonry nails.
Better building practices require that:
